2010 - 2011 Catalog Blog Hop

So, welcome to our long-awaited 2010 - 2011 Stampin' Up! catalog bloghop, brought to you by ESAD. I hope you're ready to see some fantastic creations made with products from our wonderful new catty!

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’ Up! We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed. So if you are a Stampin’ Up! I'm so excited that the new catalog is finally out - there are so many fantastic new products inside to drool over! My wishlist is already over two pages long! Lots and lots of yummy ribbons, new stamp sets, new cardstock colours, gorgeous papers, bling - the list goes on and on!!

Now - on with my project!

I have created an accordian file folder with cards to match using the fabulous new Newsprint DSP and Artistic Etchings stamp set. Sooo love this set!

 Dont'cha just love the paper!!  I love the mix of black,white and red - so elegant!

Here is a picture of the file folder from the top:

I've used Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Real Red Cardstock to make the folder and the DSP has been adhered to backing sheets of cardboard that come with your DSP. (they are so handy and can be used fo a number of things - I never throw them away!)

Stampin' Up! have bought out a great new range of ribbons in this catty. I looove ribbon!! There is the beautiful striped grosgrain ribbon as I have used here, plain grosgrain and satin ribbons - all in a great range of colours. If you love ribbon as much as I do, you will be in ribbon heaven!!

The sentiment I have used on the tag is from a retired set (sorry!  I just couldn't find a sentiment I wanted to fit the tag!)

Now for the cards:

For this card, I have used the new Stampin' Up! Scallop Trim Border & Corner punch to punch out a mat for the red cardstock. The piece of red cardstock I have run through the new 'Vintage Wallpaper' embossing folder, then inked it with Soft Suede Ink. I've stitched my DSP to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and wrapped some ribbon around it. It has then been attached to my card base. I've used markers to colour in the letters on the tag before I stamped onto cardstock. Isn't this a fabulous stamp set?? So versatile.

The Eiffel Tower has been stamped with Sahara Sand ink onto Very Vanilla card.

This is my second card:

 I've used the  border punch again and also the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder too. This time I have swiped Soft Suede ink again over the embossed card and overstamped on one side with  the medallion from the Artistic Etchings stamp set. The brad attached to the front has been made with the 'Build A Brad' kit and a circle of Old Olive cardstock. The Eiffel Tower has been stamped in Basic Black and cut out, then adhered onto another piece of cardstock with dimensionals

And now for the last card:

I have actually CASE'd the design for this one out of the new catty. A very simple card but very effective I think. Once again I have used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (just love it!) on a piece of Very Vanilla that has been cut out with the Top Note Die . I've also used the  'Build A Brad' kit again. The black grosgrain ribbon started out as Very Vanilla ribbon - I just dyed it with reinkers to get black. Luckily though, there is black grosgrain ribbon in the new catty. And Rich Razzleberry, and Pumpkin Pie, and Early Espresso, and Marina Mist .... Did I mention that I love ribbon????

So how versatile is this set! I think it's going to be one of my faves!! Great for creating masculine themed or travel cards and also great for vintage style or travel scrap layouts.
