Chocolate Treat Box

Isn't this a fabulous treat box!!!

This is one of the projects made from the last round of UStamp. I've used the Greenhouse Gala DSP and Early Espresso Cardstock to make my box and filled it with Ferroro Rocher (my fave chocolates!!).

The stamp set is from 'Afterthoughts',  which is a Level 1 hostess gift and it has been layered on to a label made with the 'Lots Of Tags' sizzlets die. The clear window has been created using Stampin' Up!s Window Sheets. These window sheets (page 122 of the Idea Book & Catalogue) come in packs of 2 12x12 sheets (medium or thick) and can be used in cards and boxes and to create shapes and clear packages.  You can also use them in your Bigshot too!

Case Study Challenge #26

Have just been checking out the challenges over at Case Study as I haven't been over for a while and just had to participate in this one!

This is the fabulous creation by February Muse, Eva Dobilas that we had to case:

 

I loved the idea of using black and olive, so this is what I came up with:

 

The stamp set I have used is discontinued (**sigh**) but I bought it last year and have NEVER USED IT!!!! How bad is that LOL!! But I thought it was perfect for this card

• Inks:    Basic Black, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
• Other:    Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Brads, Paper Daisies, Scallop Trim Border Punch

SAM February 2011 Challenge

This is my first challenge as a member of the Stamp A Memory Design Team. For this challenge, we needed to include the colour red on our layout and this is what I have created:

 

This was a really easy layout to create - all the  paper and cardstock that I used was left over from one project or another - I didn't have to cut anything!!  The strips of Early Espresso were cut-offs from a previous giftbox that I had made, and the DSP from the Jolly Holiday range was left over after making my Christmas cards. The flower was left over from a bunch of flowers I cut out from the launch of the Summer Mini Catalogue. They have been made using the Island Floral Bigz Die and the Fancy Flower Extra large punch. All the punched petals were then run through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

I have used images from the "Extreme Elements" and "Pendant Park" stamp sets to create an interesting background effect.

Because I Care Take 2

This is take 2 of the 'Because I Care' card that I made earlier this month, only this time I used pinks instead of blues to create the card:

 

 

The papers I've used in this card are from the 'Designer Series Paper Pack - In Color', which is a Level 1 hostess gift. The sentiment is from the 'Occasional Quotes' stamp set, which is aq evel 3 hostess set. Though this card is made in exactly the same way as the first one I did (see my post on 9th January), it looks just that little bit different.
